What Will Your
Insurance Cover?
Deductibles, coinsurance and co-payments. The tendency these days
is for insurance plans to shift more of the costs on to you, the consumer.
The reason? To try to keep rate increases in the single digit percentages.
The result? Your rates continue to go up while your coverage often goes
down.
SGPIA has access to Indemnity policies designed specifically
to offset the out-of-pocket expenses you will likely incur if you or a
family member has a stay in the hospital. And like all of our products,
benefits will be paid directly to you regardless of your other coverage.
Another option is to utilize Supplemental Health
Options Policies. These type of plans you build yourself when you "shop"
for benefits that help satisfy your individual needs. For an additional
premium there are 9 optional riders available in addition to the base plan
(may vary by state). The base policy pays a daily benefit for hospital
confinement. You "shop" for additional benefits from a list that includes
an initial hospitalization, surgical and anesthesia, emergency room
accident, inpatient, outpatient, at-home nursing, transportation, accident
disability, and specified disease (cancer, heart attack and stroke)
disability benefits. Simplified underwriting makes applying for coverage
easy.
